The kids Halloween costumes

Shay came up with a good costume, she put some left over glo stix to use and went as a "stick" person, She's the green one.We went trunk r treating at the church, now theres a great idea, you just go from car to car and your bag is full in 10 minutes or less. It started at 5:30 and we were home watching a movie by 6.

Swade put some of his toys to good use and was the incredible hulk for Halloween this year.

Swade at scouts

They put Swade to work grinding the deer meat into hamburger and he was more than willing to do it.

Scounts Wayne County Style

WoW Vances second time at scouts here in Loa and he is learning how to prepare and cut deer meet. Turns out the scheduled guest for scouts was the local town Judge, he had some other pending duties and could not make it to talk with the scouts so plan B was put into action "Cut up a mule deer". After an opening prayer everybody got knives and a spot around the table and we were in business. The back straps are the best cut and the first to be put on the butcher block. 10 minutes later the pan was hot and ready on the stove and we were cooking freshly cut venison! Ya this is my kinda scout activity!! Swade went to scouts with vance too. See swade and I were just going to drop Vance off at scouts and visit with the leader for a few minutes then we were going to head home for dinner, that was until we found out that the scout activity was cooking venison steaks, swade and I both changed our mind fretty fast and invited ourselves to stay.

A piece of the Old West

This is the round pen used by Butch and Sundance. It's made out of huge Cedar trees. Unfortunately the old gate didn't make it through the years.

Crazy Kelly

This picture is for all you Taylor's who haven't seen your dad in a while. He's as silly as ever. Here he is taking his own picture while talking to the camera or maybe he was talking to the horse??? Need I say more.

Wild Cat

while out on the trail in cowboy country they spotted this most amazing animal. We thought it was a bobcat with a long tail. Then we googled it & found out it was a Lynx and they are on the endangered species list so it was a really cool sight. Thank goodness for modern technology and the fact that they all had cameras.

The Outlaw Ride

West and his dad planned a back country horse ride to horse shoe canyon. They had 14 people come out to ride the trails of Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid. Me and Swade came along for the food and fun at camp. Shay & Vance were going on the ride until we got closer to the camp site and all the memories of the last trip came back to them. You see West has become famous for his Taylor "short' cut, which usually means were lost. The last ride the kids went on with there dad was sappos to be a 5 or 6 hour day trip that turned into a 10 hour, freezing, starving miserable ride. So, before they even unloaded the truck they had both backed out to stay with me.

Witch Fest

I spent the weekend in S.L.C. with the witches in my family, at least some of them. My beautiful Sister Kristy as the mermaid witch, and my niece MaCee as the Huntress witch, My Amazing Mother Shirley the red hat witch and I myself was the Artsy Fartsy witch. We went to Gardner Village for the annual Witch Festival where we shopped, and ate all sorts of fabulous fall food (carmel apples, pumpkin cake with whip cream and the amazing potatoe cheese soup in a sour dough bowl that you can eat. mmmmm) We bought Christmas orniments in October, this has become a tradition for me. Shay really looks forward to getting a new one each year attached to the top of atleast one of her Christmas gifts. Then we sang and danced to all sorts of crazy songs like Thriller and the monster mash, oh and the unforgettable Cindy Lauper's GIRL'S JUST WANNA HAVE FUN. We took tons of pictures with all sorts of witches, real ones fake ones, pretty ones, ugly ones, tall ones and small ones. Then we walked until our feet went numb. We stumbled back the 3 miles of dirt to our car where we literally undressed to get out of our uncomfortable hats, hair pieces, gobby jewelry, false eyelashes, capes, fish net stockings and too tall, too pointy, yet totally fabuously looking, uncomfortable boots. We were exhausted. We drove home, dropped everyone off crawled into the house some time in the wee hours of the morning scrubbed the glitter, makeup and jewels from our faces to drop into bed. When we woke the next morning to puffy eyes and a larger waist line we were on the go again. A few more hours to shop until the husbands and children arrive.
